Toshi, the accidental promoter made famous by his undeground Williamsburg loft parties attended by thousands of his closest friends, has made the jump to Manhattan. His new parties are professional affairs publicized by the likes of Time Out and Gawker rather than simple word of mouth. The reasons for his sucess are plain. He's arrived at a simple and elegant formula - find yourself a big impressive venue (The Puck Building), add sponsorship by a single liquor brand to keep prices low, and hire beautiful men and women to work there in very, very little clothes. Really, what more does one need for a great party?
